Who he was
A bishop of Sardis in the Quartodeciman tradition, which kept Easter on the 14th of Nisan. His homily On the Pascha, recovered from twentieth-century papyrus finds, reads the Exodus Passover as a figure of Christ's passion; he is also the earliest source for a Christian list of Old Testament books.
