What it decided

In June 794, with legates of Pope Hadrian I, it condemned the Spanish Adoptionism of Elipandus of Toledo and Felix of Urgell (that Christ, as man, is the adoptive Son). It also rejected what it understood Nicaea II to have decided: it allowed that images are useful for instruction but denied they should be venerated. Its rulings are gathered in a capitulary of 56 chapters.
